Local Beef From Start To Finish

Located outside of Lewisburg, West Virginia in the Richland Hills, you will find two family-owned-and-operated cattle farms working hard to supply fresh, local, premium quality meat in their community. In 2020, Mountain Steer Meat Company began offering grass-fed and grain-finished local beef in partnership with Cornerstone IGA. Local farmers, local beef, local grocers, all working together to provide their community with the best.

Mountain Steer beef arrives in stores and at local restaurants fresh, dry-aged, and within 11 days of harvesting. No preservatives, no shipping from across the country, no large packing plant, no corporate interests. Local from start to finish.

One tool that aids producers in the efficient and profitable production of beef cattle is live animal carcass ultrasound. Carcass ultrasound is an economical way cattlemen can make genetic improvements in carcass traits.

DRY
AGING


Temperature, air flow, and humidity are the ingredients of our unique dry aging process. Our process adds a distinctive flavor to our meats. We dry age our beef at our processing facility in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
